Lieutenant General Garry L. Parks is a Distinguished Fellow of New Westminster College. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from The Citadel, where he is a Distinguished Citadel Alumni, a Master of Arts degree in Education from Pepperdine University, a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, and he graduated from the U.S. Marine Corps Command and Staff College with Honours.

General Parks has also completed the following postgraduate executive leadership programs: Executive Program in National and  International Security (Senior Officials in National Security), Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University; Directors’ Institute, The Citadel; Executive Business Course, U.S. Naval Post-Graduate School; and the National Security Leaders Course, Syracuse University and Johns Hopkins University.

General Parks has a distinguished record of ethical leadership. He is a retired Lieutenant General of the U.S. Marine Corps and his professional experience includes the following leadership positions:
