The world-class curricula offered at New Westminster College is academically rigorous and is supplemented by academic content and learning materials provided and licensed by wholly-owned subsidiaries of Harvard, Cambridge and other leading universities. Admission to academic programmes at New Westminster College is governed by the admissions committee of each constituent school in accordance with admission criteria for each respective academic program.  

Admission to academic programs and certain courses at the undergraduate level may have prerequisite courses that must be satisfied before admission can be granted. Whereas, admission to postgraduate academic programs and specialized courses normally requires the student applicant to hold an accredited baccalaureate degree with an excellent record of academic performance as an admission prerequisite. Courses at New Westminster College are numbered from 100 to 699. Courses numbered between 100 and 499 are considered undergraduate level courses and courses numbered between 500 and 699 are considered postgraduate level courses.

Most academic programmes and courses require certain levels of computer literacy as admission prerequisites. Admission to postgraduate academic programmes at New Westminster College also have professional experience requirements that must be satisfied before admission can be granted. And admission to some advanced language certification programs and courses require language proficiency as demonstrated by examination and coursework completion as prerequisites for admission.
