Dr. Angel Angelov is a Fellow of New Westminster College and has an outstanding record of ethical leadership. His professional experience includes:

  • 2012 – present: Second Secretary, Permanent Mission of the Republic of Bulgaria to the United Nations, New York City, New York, USA
  • 2011-2012: Multiple Positions: Adviser in the Cabinet of the General Director on Global Affairs and Human Rights, Deputy to the Head of Political Issues Department, and Directorate on United Nations and Global Issues, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Bulgaria, Sofia, Bulgaria
  • 2008-2011: Political Coordinator, Chargés d’affaires (on occasion), Permanent Mission of the Republic of Bulgaria to the United Nations, New York City, New York, USA
  • 2006-2008: Multiple Positions: Adviser in the Cabinet of the General Director on Global Affairs and Human Rights, Deputy to the Head of Political Issues Department, and Directorate on United Nations and Global Issues, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Bulgaria, Sofia, Bulgaria

Dr. Angelov’s education includes:

  • 2006: PhD in Political Science, Sofia University, Sofia, Bulgaria
  • 2002: MA in Politics and Administration, University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy

Dr. Angelov’s academic fellowships include:
