Commander Johnathan Lawrence Williams is a commissioned officer of the United States Navy and a Senior Fellow of New Westminster College. He earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Criminal Justice in 1994 from Valley Forge Military College, Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminology in 1996 from Florida State University, and a Master of Arts in Business and Organization Security Management (with 4.0 honours) in 2011 from Webster University.

Commander Williams is a graduate of the 2011 Army Command and General Staff College and 2012 graduate of the Joint Counterintelligence Training Academy. He has also completed the following professional military education (PME):

Commander Williams has an outstanding record of ethical leadership and presently serves in the Operations Division, United States Central Command in Tampa, Florida, and formerly as the Legislative Liaison in the Office of Legislative Affairs at the Office of the Secretary of the Navy at the Pentagon in Washington, DC, where he was the primary advisor to the Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV) and Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) on all Congressional items of interest. Commander Williams’ personal awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal [3], Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Coast Guard Meritorious Team Commendation, and Coast Guard Meritorious Unit Commendation with Operational [O] device, Presidential Unit Citation and service and campaign medals.

Commander Williams was first appointed as a Fellow of New Westminster College (FNWC) on 11 September 2013. After two years of outstanding service, he was meritoriously promoted to Senior Fellow of New Westminster College (SFNWC), effective 11 September 2015.
