Dr. Tomas Vrana is a Senior Fellow of New Westminster College. He has an outstanding record of ethical leadership and is highly respected internationally for his business acumen and entrepreneurial experience. His professional experience includes:

  • 2001 to present: Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Moravia Capital AG, Zurich, Switzerland and Munich, Germany
  • 1990-2010: Volunteer, German Red Cross, Essen, Germany
  • 2001 -2005: Founder and Member of the Advisory Council, FinanCert GmbH, Essen, Germany
  • 1999-2000: Managing Director, GFKL (Subsidiary of Goldman Sachs International), Essen, Germany and London, UK
  • 1998-1999: Director, Henkel KGaA, Düsseldorf, Germany
  • 1997-1998: Director, Kessler and Luch GmbH (Steag AG), Germany and the Czech Republic
  • 1992-1997: Director of Human Resources, Steag AG, Essen, Germany
  • 1985-1991: Apprentice, Krupp AG, Essen, Germany

Dr. Vrana has participated on German government delegation trips to foreign countries, including:

  • 2006: Kuwait, Dubai and Abu Dhabi with German Minister of Economics and Technology
  • 2005: Middle East with German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder
  • 2004: Egypt with the German Minister of Economics and Labour Wolfgang Clement

Dr. Vrana has language proficiency in German, Czech, English and Polish. His formal education includes:

  • 2003: PhD in Economics, Technische Universität Carolo-Wilhelmina zu Braunschweig
  • 1996: MBA in Economics, Universität Duisburg-Essen, Standort Essen

Dr. Vrana holds a Private Pilot License from the FAA.
