His Excellency Dr. Fidel Valdez Ramos a Governor and Distinguished Fellow of New Westminster College and serves on the Board of Governors as Honorary Chairman. He has a distinguished record of ethical leadership and served as the 12th President of the Republic of the Philippines from 1992 to 1998, during which time he steadfastly and faithfully promoted the principles of people empowerment and a culture of excellence that both led to global competitiveness.

President Ramos is well remembered for his positive energy that seemed to burst from his calm, and at times, steely demeanour. He effectively pursued, focused and converged programs to fight poverty in accordance with the will of the Filipino people, expressed by 229 structural and reform laws successfully enacted by Congress from 1992 to 1998.

President Ramos’ distinguished public service spanned a total period of 51 years. His professional leadership experience includes:
