BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: Lieutenant General Jürgen Bornemann

 Lieutenant General Jürgen Bornemann is a Lieutenant General of the German Army and a Distinguished Fellow of New Westminster College. He graduated from the Federal Armed Forces University in Hamburg in 1980, where he studied economics. Lieutenant General Bornemann graduated from the 26thArmy General Staff Officers Course in 1985 at the German Armed Forces Command and General Staff College in Hamburg, and also graduated from the Belgian General Staff Course in 1988 at the Royal Belgian General Staff College in Brussels.

Lieutenant General Bornemann has a distinguished record of ethical leadership and has served since 2010 as the Director General of the International Military Staff at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. His other professional leadership experience includes:
