Fellow Ken Taylor is a cyber security expert and Fellow of New Westminster College. He became certified as a CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) in 2001 by the Cisco Academy in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and has been certified since 2001 as a Telecommunications Engineering Technologist by the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Mr. Taylor earned his MBA in 2003 from Royal Roads University in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. He has language proficiency in English and French.

Fellow Taylor has an outstanding record of ethical leadership and presently serves as President of the Cyber Security Protection Alliance. His leadership role requires him to interact with governments, heads of state for the 54 Commonwealth countries, Fortune 500 companies, DHS, PSC, Home Office, World Bank, and etc. He is a seasoned executive and maintains corporate relationships and partnerships with senior leadership in software companies such as Microsoft, Apple, Oracle, IBM, etc; military combatant commands and government agencies such as United States Central Command, Department of Information Systems Agency, Communications Security Establishment Canada, National Security Agency, Joint Forces Command, Canadian Special Operations Command, Canada Command,  United States Cyber Command, United States Special Operations Command, etc.; and defense contractors including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics, Raytheon and BAE.

Fellow Taylor’s other professional leadership experience includes:

  • August 2012 – present: Chief Executive Officer, InnovaNord, a Canadian company with international reach that provides Cyber Security and Defence sector solutions and innovations to both government and private sector clients.
  • August 2011 – August 2012: Vice President, Cyber Security, Canada , CGI Inc.
  • 2008 – 2011: Director, Global Cyber Security, Unisys, Inc.
  • 2007 – 2008: Director, North America Cyber Security (Stealth Solutions), Unisys, Inc.
  • 2006 – 2007: Director, Unisys Canada Security Solutions, Unisys, Inc.
  • 2004 – 2006: Principal, Virtus Management Group
  • 2001 – 2004: Sales and Marketing Manager, Okanagan Telephone Company
  • 1988 – 2000: Soldier and Paratrooper, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (Parachute Company), and the Canadian Airborne Regiment (Special Service Forces – 2 Commando), Canadian Army of the Canadian Forces

Fellow Taylor completed the French Language Course in 1993 at the Canadian Forces Language School in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, and the Canadian Forces Senior Leadership School in 1995 in Gagetown, New Brunswick. He currently holds a NATO Secret Security Clearance and Top Secret Security Clearance.
