BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY:  Professor Dr. Abdelazim Negm, B.Sc. (Hons), M.Sc., Ph.D., C.E.

Professor Dr. Abdelazim Negm is a Professor of Civil Engineering and Fellow of New Westminster College. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1985 from Zagazig University, Master of Science in Civil Engineering in 1990 from Ain Shams University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering in 1992 from Zagazig University. Professor Negm has language proficiency in Arabic and English.

Professor Negm has an outstanding record of ethical leadership and presently serves as Professor of Water Resources at the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology in Alexandria, Egypt. His other professional experience includes:

  • June 2004 to present: Professor of Hydraulics, Water & Water Structures Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Zagazig University, Zagazig, Egypt
  • December 2008 to December 2011: Vice Dean for Academic and Students Affairs, Faculty of Engineering, Zagazig University, Zagazig, Egypt
  • October 1998 to June 2004: Associate Professor, Water & Water Structures Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Zagazig University, Zagazig, Egypt
  • October 1992 to October 1998: Assistant Professor, Water & Water Structures Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Zagazig University, Zagazig, Egypt
