Senior Instructor Greg Cayen, BBA, CMC, FCA
Senior Instructor Greg Cayen currently resides in Iqaluit, Nunavut where he is the President and CEO of NCC Nunavut Investment Group Inc. NCC Investment Group Inc. owns and manages a real estate portfolio located throughout Nunavut, valued in excess of $400 million, and also operates a successful construction company.
In 1990 Mr. Cayen decided to move North with his family and currently has over 22 years work experience in the North with various Aboriginal development corporations and Tribal Councils, serving in senior executive positions. During his 22 years in the North Mr. Cayen was involved in the implementation of a major land claim, assisting an Aboriginal community in developing oil and gas business opportunities and obtaining financing for $150 million Infrastructure development in the new territory of Nunavut.
During that time Mr. Cayen was also actively involved in making a difference in the lives of Inuit, Dene and Metis by actively promoting employment and training opportunities. Mr. Cayen is currently Chairman of the Nunavut Business Credit Corporation, President of the Nunavut Conservative Electoral District Association and Chairman of the Parish Council of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Parish in Iqaluit. Mr. Cayen has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Northwest Territories Power Corporation and for many years served on the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut serving as Chair of the Discipline Committee.
Mr. Cayen is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) (2007), Certified Management Consultant (C.M.C.) (1998), and has a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (B.B.A.) (Ottawa University) (1976).
