Vice Admiral Jerome Regnier is a Distinguished Fellow of New Westminster College and has a distinguished record of ethical leadership. During his career in the French Navy, he served in numerous command and staff appointments, and retired as a senior Flag Officer with the naval rank of Vice Admiral. 

Vice Admiral Regnier has deep maritime and international knowledge of the Pacific, Indian and Atlantic Ocean, French Navy and MOD network, all the while maintaining high ethical standards. His professional experience includes:

  • 2013 to present: Permanent Member, Commission des Recours des Militaires, French Ministry of Defense
  • 2010-2012: Rear Admiral, Commanding the French Armed Forces in the Pacific and Tahiti (French Polynesia)
  • 2006-2010: Deputy Director, Human Resources Department, French Navy, Paris, France
  • 2003-2006:  Director, Naval Human Resources Strategy, Headquarters, French Navy, Paris, France
  • 2001-2003:  Commanding Officer, Helicopter Carrier “Jeanne d’Arc” and Cadets’ Training School (at sea for French Navy Officers), Brest, France
  • 1999-2001: Senior Officer, and Professor, Joint Services Staff College, Paris, France
  • 1998-1999: Commanding Officer, Surveillance Frigate “Nivôse”, Noumea, New Caledonia
  • 1994-1997: Director, Officer Development, French Navy Instruction Center, St. Mandrier, France
  • 1991-1992: Antisubmarine Warfare Officer, Naval Action Force Center, Toulon, France
  • 1990-1991: Commanding Officer, FNS “Cdt Bouan”, Brest, France

Vice Admiral Regnier’s French honours and decorations include the Legion of Honour and the National Order of Merit.
